Please pray, inform those in your network of believers to pray, and mobilize a prayer group within your church for the Worldwide Day of Fasting and Prayer for North Korea, July 27th, which is the 55th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice and creation of the Demilitarized Zone.

Let us all arise as a united body to humble ourselves, seek God's face, and turn from our wicked ways for the sake of the oppressed and needy in North Korea believing that North Korea will be liberated if we are willing, as God promises: "If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin and will heal their land." -- 2 Chronicles 7:14

Let us intercede without ceasing until His Kingdom fully comes (Isaiah 62:6-7).<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1383179174011404894-6327098737061125912?l=vegaschristianblog.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Welcome All People Christian Church

Vegas Christian welcomes a new church to Las Vegas!

Here is What They Believe:

The Vision of All People Christian Church

“To be a church OF all people, THROUGH all people, TO all people”

Vivid Description of the Vision

The vision is being fulfilled when a wide variety of people, of every culture and generation, are being reached for Jesus Christ throughout the Las Vegas valley, the campuses and beyond (“A church OF all people…”), every member is being encouraged, equipped and mobilized in their God-given giftings and ministry of reconciliation, discipleship and service of the Body and others (“A church THROUGH all people…”), and the church is making a tangible impact by reaching every kind of person and serving every kind of gospel need, either directly or indirectly, throughout the Las Vegas valley, the campuses and the nations (“A Church TO all people…”).

The Mission of the Church

“To honor God and serve all people by BEING full-time, incarnational witnesses of Christ, BUILDING disciples who are growing in Christlikeness and spiritually reproducing, and BRINGING the kingdom of God to every area of the Las Vegas valley, the campuses and beyond.”

Core Values of the Church:

1. To experience God…
…through a daily pursuit of Him in the Word and prayer, uninhibited and passionate worship, pursuing all of God’s power and promises, enjoyment of the righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, meaningful relationships where every person is honored, respected and valued, marriages and families that prosper and function according to biblical values &amp; principles

2. To reveal God…
…through a passionate desire to tell others about Jesus Christ, authentic Christian lives, a reconciled and loving community of believers made up of diverse cultures, ages and backgrounds, a Christlike understanding, compassion, and service of others, being ongoing and discerning students of culture who remain relevant, relatable and holy while living incarnationally
IICorinthians 5:20; Romans 10:14-17; ICorinthians 1:10-13; 9:19-27; Philippians 2:15; Galatians 3:28; Revelation 7:9-10;

3. To honor God…
…through integrity in all things, accountability and transparency before God and people, valuing character more than ability, faithful stewardship of our lives and resources, valuing people before programs, excellence in all things, being counter-cultural whenever necessary, walking in humility before God and people

4. To obey God…
…through an ongoing commitment to His command to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations and generations, equipping and mobilizing every believer to serve in their God-ordained ministry of service and reconciliation, keeping God’s mission to redeem all of creation, the Missio Dei, as our primary mission and the purpose around which all activities are centered

The outdoor State Capitol event at Carson City will be covered by Prayer Flight Pilot Paul Hamilton.
<a href="http://www.prayerflight.org/My_Homepage_Files/Page13.html"></a>
It is the Mission of PrayerFlight to do the Will of God as written in II Chronicles 7:14; "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land".We believe that God has blessed man with the gift of flight and it is this unique perspective from the air that brings to mind the many glories of His creation and our obligation to seek His face and will through prayer. We further believe that God's Word is Truth and through our prayers and intersession, He will deliver our nation and beyond. Therefore, we shall seek to cover our land by Filling the Air with Prayer.
PrayerFlight is a group of men and women who have joined forces to pray over our cities, states and nation from the unique perspective of flight. We understand that it is not where we are when we pray but rather the sincerity and fervency of our prayers that God hears and answers. Our dedicated men and women believe that it is from our perspective in flight that allows us the opportunity to observe God's awesome creation and are reminded of our duty to pray for our fellow man, cities and nation. Through our perspective in flight, we desire to spend time in prayer specifically for the city that we are flying over. On days set aside by PrayerFlight, we are attempting to cover entire counties, states and eventually our nation as Prayer Warriors team up with pilots and physically cover an assigned area with prayer. What an awesome thought, to know that individuals are flying overhead while praying for you, your neighbors, schools, government and all aspects of your community. Through our prayers we are beseeching our Lord and Saviour to heal our communities and nation. Please take some time to look over our web site and join us in prayer for our nation. We invite you to join our efforts in your community. By partnering with a local pilot (perhaps in your own church) and other Prayer Warriors, you can join our efforts and through the registration page of this site, in a coordinated effort, we will begin the task of covering our entire nation in prayer from the air.

Lt. Col. Al McCarn, US Army
Alexandria, VA
March 2, 2008

Believers in our Messiah Jesus tend to agree that the instruction of His apostle Paul still applies to all of us today:
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (I Timothy 2:1-3)
This is a good scriptural basis for praying for every authority in our society, including the military. But just what do we mean by this name, “the Military”? A basic understanding of the United States military establishment would be a good thing for the people of God to have. This will help in shaping focused, effective prayers as the Lord leads so that His purposes through our military may be accomplished.

Let’s start with the basic numbers: our defense establishment consists of over 3.1 million men and women, both military and civilians. Some 1.4 million of those are on active duty with the Army (520,000), Navy (335,000), Marine Corps (187,000), Air Force (330,000), and Coast Guard (41,700). Another 670,000 are civilian employees of the federal government. There are another 1.1 million in the Army and Air Force National Guard, and in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Reserve forces.

All of these (except for the Coast Guard, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security), are under the Department of Defense. The chief official, as required by our Constitution, is the civilian Secretary of Defense. He is advised and assisted by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Civilian Secretaries also lead the Departments of the Army, Navy (which includes the Navy and Marine Corps), and Air Force. They are advised by the senior military leaders who run the daily business of the Services: the Chief of Staff of the Army, Chief of Naval Operations, Commandant of the Marine Corps, and Chief of Staff of the Air Force. The same arrangement exists in the Department of Homeland Security, where the civilian Secretary is advised by the Commandant of the Coast Guard. The current leaders of our Defense establishment are:
· Secretary of Defense Dr. Robert M. Gates
· Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon M. England
· Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen
· Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General James Cartwright, USMC
· Secretary of the Army Dr. Peter Geren
· Chief of Staff of the Army General George W. Casey
· Secretary of the Navy Donald C. Winter
· Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Gary Roughead
· Commandant of the Marine Corps General James T. Conway
· Secretary of the Air Force Michael W. Wynne
· Chief of Staff of the Air Force General T. Michael Moseley
· Secretary of Homeland Security
· Commandant of the Coast Guard Admral Thad W. Allen

That is the basic organization, but it hardly scratches the surface of a living organism that embraces about 1% of the population of the United States. And we have not even considered the millions more who are family members of these Service members and civilians, or the two million military retirees who continue to be part of the wider military community, or even the millions of defense contractors who provide products, services, and expertise without which our forces could not operate. Then there are the research organizations, both in institutions of higher learning and in private industry, that look toward the future of our military by developing new technologies adapted to the ever-changing combat environment.

When you stop to think about it, “the Military” is far, far more than the Soldier on the ground in Iraq. Those brave men and women are the “point of the spear”; the business end of our foreign policy. They are the ones who interact with people in foreign lands, both friends and foes, to carry out the orders made by the President on behalf of the People of the United States. Yet behind each one of them are many hundreds of others who recruit, train, equip, transport, feed, protect, and serve them in every way.

If these numbers and statistics bewilder you, don’t worry. You do not have to know that much about our Military to pray and help us. Think instead in plain and simple human terms:
· Perhaps you know a young woman in your church who is struggling to raise three children while their father is away in Afghanistan with his National Guard unit. If you pray for her, then you pray for the military. If you offer to watch her children while she goes to the store, you have contributed more than you know to national defense.
· Perhaps you pass an Army Reserve center on the way to your grocery store. You can be certain that the people who pass through the doors of that facility have either been deployed overseas at least once in the past six years, or they are just coming home, or they are about to go. If you see them out there standing in formation on a Saturday morning, pray for them. They would rather be playing ball with their sons, or shopping with their daughters, but they have chosen instead to make sacrifices for our nation so that their children may grow up in freedom.
· Perhaps you see one of our military leaders on the news testifying to Congress. Pray for him, for he is a human being just like the rest of us. He carries the weight of many decisions that will affect the lives of Service men and women, their families, and the nations to which they are deployed – and he also carries the weight of responsibility as a husband, father, citizen, taxpayer, brother, and (very often) churchgoer. When his father-in-law is sick unto death, he cannot cease being the decision maker even while he tries to comfort his wife and provide for his family’s needs. Therefore double your prayers on his behalf, and do not criticize him when, for his burdens are greater than you know.

If you are interested in learning more about the Military, there are many readily available sources. You can start at the Department of Defense official web site (<a href="http://www.defenselink.mil/">http://www.defenselink.mil/</a>). But know that you don’t have to be an expert on defense to pray for us. These simple examples are just the beginning. The Lord will give you the specifics if you just ask Him. And on behalf of my brethren in uniform and in civilian service to this nation, and our families, I thank you for lifting us up before the throne of the Living God.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1383179174011404894-3818229294477410803?l=vegaschristianblog.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Special Training for Recognizing Suicide Behavior in Teens

THE SILENT EPIDEMIC

THE PROBLEM: Youth suicide is the SECOND leading cause of death among college age youth and the THIRD cause for ages 15 to 24. Each year this Silent Epidemic claims the lives of approximately 100 young people per week in the United States.
THE MISSION: The mission of this training is to provide information, tools and resources to individuals who interact with our youth either personally or professionally; enabling them to better detect early at-risk behaviors and guide them to local resources for help.

Jason Flatt: 3/20/81 7/16/97:In 1997, The Jason Foundation (JFI) was founded in response to the loss of Jason Flatt, age 16, to the tragedy of youth suicide. JFIs mission is to provide information, tools and resources to confront the Silent Epidemic and prevent the tragedy of youth suicide. <a href="http://www.jasonfoundation.com/aboutus.html" target="_blank"></a>The Jason Foundation, Inc. is a nationally recognized provider of educational curriculums and training programs for students, educators/youth workers and parents. Established to build awareness of youth suicide, educate participants in recognizing the warning signs/ signs of concern, provide information to identify at-risk behavior and risk groups, and direct participants to local resources in order to better deal with possible suicidal ideation.

The Jason Foundation Curriculum is currently taught to Clark County School Districts 9th &amp; 10th graders.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1383179174011404894-7434757214677483134?l=vegaschristianblog.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

National Day of Prayer Meeting Feb 9th

The first National Day of Prayer meeting for Nevada is Feb. 9th at 12:00pm

Look at what the Lord has done. Over 400 hundred people attended the Sanctity of Life
Concert Friday Night (Jan.18th,2008). Those who attended were treated to probably to the best
overall Christian Concert of the Year. The evening started with passionate words from Pastor
Greg of Calvary Chapel Green Valley. Esther with Annie Meadows band followed with songs
of great conviction to the importance of life and the pursuit of the Lord. From there we worshipped with Annie Meadows and her amazing worship style. Throughout the evening
those who attended echoed many of the selections played. The night changed gears for awhile,
when Las Vegas Strip performer Larry G. Jones took the stage for a gospel song and then
15 minutes of crisp and smart impressions of many popular music and presidential icons.
During the intermission a powerful video and words were shared about the many lives that
are being saved and given opportunity to change the world. Life takes partners to work.
After an intermission, the night's premiere performer took the stage...Grammy Winner
Ashley Cleveland. Those in attendance were treated to a soulful performance with many
personal stories of strength and endurance from Ashley's life. A wonderful time was had
by all. What a powerful testament to the power of music to the soul! The Women's Resourse
Medical Centers of Southern Nevada were truly blessed. Stay tuned to Keen Tv Air Channel
17 for a replay of the concert.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1383179174011404894-1010771234433558866?l=vegaschristianblog.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Sanctity of Life Concert

This Friday Night Jan. 18th at Calvary Chapel Green Valley from 6:oopm - 9:00pm

As we enjoy this holy season, worship and pray as you think of His kingdom--His love for all His creation. God bless you with His presence.
"Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:10a-11) In this Christian nation much focus is put on "The Savior" this time of year. Please pray that people will have a personal revival and renewal for faith in Christ the Savoir. If He had not come, there would have been no remission of sins; there would have been no lamb without spot or wrinkle. He is the reason for the season. Pray for a spirit of rejoicing as we remember His first coming. Intercede that families evaluate priorities and count their many blessings. Pray that a spirit of thankfulness and humble gratitude permeate our hearts.
In many poor nations where Internet, and literature are not easily accessed, the radio is an important tool for evangelism. Pray for radio stations around the world that preach the gospel. Most of them are listener supported and we must intercede for those that have the means to help would be compelled to do so. In many nations such as Cuba, Vietnam, China, Saudi Arabia and Quatar where it is illegal to preach the gospel or hand out literature, radio waves can be picked up. Pray that God would bless our radio stations and carry the FM and AM waves farther than they can go naturally. Pray that His word spoken through the radio stations would fall upon hungry and eager hearts and that they would receive Jesus into their lives. Pray that God would anoint and bless the DJ's and technical staff that work at these radio stations using them to spread the Gospel. Pray for protection for the radio towers and those who maintain them.
Pray for those people around the world who are substance abusers. Their very souls long for a true relationship with their creator and they are only trying to satisfy this longing. Harmful and dangerous habits form from use of such substances. Dependence on these substances destroys families economically, emotionally and spiritually. Intercede for the salvation of this group that surpasses culture, economic standing and gender. These people need Jesus in their lives and hearts to heal their wounds and set them free.

Ginny and Bob would like to add:
Pray for our leaders in government, media, families, churches, schools, military, and business to seek after righteousness and wisdom. Pray that churches would return to their duty in true worship, service, and influence in our land.
And we pray that your lives would sparkle with the miracles of daily life in His Presence so that you might see answered prayer, grace, touches of mercy, laughter and joy. May our faith increase.

Silent Night, Holy Night.
All is calm, All is quiet. Tonight we hear the sound of the silence. There are many whos cry
is silent to the ears of those who do not wish to hear. During this Christmas season in the
quiet of our God, He is preparing us for the New Year. A year of listening and a year of
responding. God guides us to those whos cries are silenced by their surroundings and their
despair. In us He finds our weary souls and makes them anew. He takes our weary bones
and brings life into them. In our minds he finds doubt and massages and stimulates us to
bring hope and peace to our neighbors. We are but humble servants who serve a Master
that is supportive to every need and responsive to every shortcoming. He loves us for who
we are in HIM. He molds us into beautiful containers to hold the gifts and blessings showered
upon us. Our God, Our Redeemer, Our Healer, Our Holy Architect, Our Father in Heaven.

By Virginia Douglas-Rommel
December 7, 2007

The Air War of Dec 7, 1941 brought a hail of death and destruction to Pearl Harbor. The Air War of Dec. 7, 2007 was under the radar, too. On the street in the 800 block of E. Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas a multicultural group of prayer warriors engaged in a late night aerial bombardment on abortion in America.
In the dark, cold winter night a group that looked to be a 100 people strong crowded into a tight circle with hands extended and touching. They chanted in Spanish and English, “I repent of my sins and the sins of my nation. I plead the blood of Jesus Christ on my sins and the sins of my nation, Lord Jesus cover my sins and the sins of my nation with the blood of your cross and remove abortion from America.”
The prayer warriors crowded inside First Choice Pregnancy Center and filled all the rooms with intercession for the tiny staff of women who daily battle for the lives of the unborn. A handful of women staff the office, administer the sonograms, and offer “help and resources to women in unplanned pregnancies in a Christian life-affirming way.” They are equipped with a sonogram, information, love, and the armor of God. It is a unique strategy to daily confront the coalition of dark social and personal forces that make of a woman’s body a battleground between physical survival of child or mother’s ostensible social viability. The air war of prayer breaks the strongholds of spiritual darkness so that the staff with boots on the ground can move in and save babies one at a time. At the same time the mother’s needs command loving care and concern as resources are marshaled to meet the crisis in her life.
In partnership with donors, churches and social services, the volunteers and part-time paid staff are able to leverage the vital resources to save tens of thousands of lives. They operate in the miraculous hour by hour. Thus, the first thing is prayer, the second thing is prayer and the third thing is—prayer. Just as Billy Graham explained the success of his crusades, the phenomenal success of First Choice is suspended on this spiritual dimension—bringing God’s will to earth by unity in the Spirit and fervent prayer of those whose sins are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. The power is in the presence of God. Carla, pastors from the church on the street, and the youth who worship there gear up for this spiritual air war through worship before the mission. People are being added to this group without any deliberate publicity.

Seeded during the Call, Las Vegas, that was led by Lou Engle at the Thomas &amp; Mack Arena, in October this year, a young Hispanic woman was moved to begin praying at the front line of battle. To a witness like me, in her sixties, this prayer movement is infused with the passion of youth and immigrant Hispanic, but it is in the unity of the Holy Spirit that the manifest work of God is made known to all who come to see where the power of the future of America truly lies.

We are getting ready to celebrate Christmas and I just tapped into the work of God in our Valley that is a living testimony to the power of God working through prayer using the obedient!

I was following up on an e-mail to Pam Caylor at First Choice Pregnancy Center seeking information about the prayer service held in the street once a week in front of the abortion clinic. I learned that the next meeting is at 9:15 Friday night. And this Friday night First Choice is holding an open house so that those who come to pray can tour the Clinic to save the unborn.

The location of First Choice is on a cul de sac in front of the Abortion Clinic that was the busiest in the country. But with prayer, First Choice now has standing room only in their lobby to get counseling to save a baby instead of lose a baby. On Friday nights, prayer team makes a line across the street and proclaims a heavenly boundary for unborn children not to cross that line. Then they circle the First Choice Center and pray that the resources and babies will be brought together for life. Now, like Peter casting his nets, they cannot haul in the catch. What a picture of Jesus birth is the salvation of thousands of lives since First Choice opened.

Please come and see on Friday at 9:15 at 860 E. Sahara Ave. 89104

during the holiday. I remember the anticipation of not only Christmas but Christmas
break from school. What would I do with all that time on my hands. Now I think what
can I do for my family that gives them great expectation.....not of gifts but of tradition.
Maybe it is Christmas Eve Candlelight services. Maybe it is a special food tradition the night
of Christmas Eve. Whatever we decide I hope that I can share the special feeling I had
growing up on Christmas Eve. This time also reminds me of the special feeling you have
to be able to put a smile on someone's face because you gave them a card. My father for
as long as I can remember used to take baskets of fruit to his insurance clients the
afternoon of Christmas Eve. That special time my father took as always meant a lot
to me as the type of person he is and the type of father and leader I inspire to be. I hope
this Christmas brings to you that special memory from your past. Many Blessings

Christmas time can also be a wonderful
time to share Jesus with others. Because this is a time of year when more people
pay attention to their local houses of worship, we have to take the time to share the
story and the gift of God's love for us. Please take the time this Christmas to invite
those who need God's wonderful grace in their lives. The best thing we can show our
Creator is to be a vessel for Him to fill and follow his lead. May your Blessings be

We have
many things to be truly thankful for, if we just take the time to pay attention. How about
your job, your family, your church, your car, your home, your friends. We have so much
in the United States that we take for granted. I hope this Thanksgiving that you find
more to thank God for in your life. Let Him hear it from your lips. May your Thanksgiving
be blessed and may your holiday season be special.
